MAPP Cooperative

The MAPP Cooperative is a purchasing alliance that has been created as a member benefit program by the Midwest Association of Public Procurement (MAPP) to bring value, efficiency, and collaboration to our members and the communities they serve. Founded in 1980, MAPP is a local chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) and promotes professionalism and ethical purchasing practices among cities, villages, townships, boards of education, park districts, colleges, and county agencies.
MAPP Cooperative Contract Library
Help build the MAPP Cooperative Contract Library. MAPP encourages collaboration and leadership among its members. This initiative can help turn your entity’s upcoming bid or RFP into a cooperative opportunity that benefits the entire membership—advancing our shared objectives of ethical practice, professional development, and the free exchange of ideas within public procurement.
At the heart of MAPP’s mission is a strong commitment to professional development. The MAPP Cooperative creates an opportunity to partner with agencies in a way that not only delivers cost savings but also generates resources to reinvest in training, education, and certification — supporting the growth of procurement professionals and raising the standards of practice across the field.
Through the MAPP Cooperative, members can access competitively awarded contracts developed by their peers. Thanks to the Illinois Governmental Joint Purchasing Act, 30 ILCS 525, all public entities can utilize contracts bid by other governmental bodies. This means your organization can save time and resources by leveraging existing procurements instead of starting from scratch. Check back often, as new contracts are added frequently.
There are no costs to participate in the MAPP Cooperative. Once you identify a contract that meets your needs and offers savings, simply sign the MICPA and then connect with the supplier directly to access cooperative pricing.
